The Silk Stockings CD

2CDbackcover copy1This CD was recorded at home in my 16 track studio using a yamaha AW4416 work station, one of the best investments I ever made. The instruments I used were as follows: Kurzweil K2600 sound module, Yamaha S80 keyboard, Yamaha CPX15 Guitar, 1971 Stratocaster with Chris Kinman pickups.

I played all the instruments on the CD with the exception of track one “Silk Stockings”, track three “Living it” and Track five “SoundMinds”.

Track one I was lucky enough to have Bill McCormack play Bass on, and on Sax an old friend from Dublin, Carl Gerathy who was here in Boston playing with the River Dance show at the time.

On Track three Bill McCormack also played Bass.

Track five I had the good fortune to have one of Ireland’s finest Uillean Pipe players Paddy Keenan do a great job, we had fun recording it. Bill McCormack was good enough to give his time to play upright Bass and engineer this track. Thanks to my brother Tony Hayes for his idea of using the Uillean Pipes on this track and all his support through the years I’ve been in the States.

I would just like to add, the CD is a variety of different types of music, I know you’ll enjoy it. Two of the tracks I would consider to be movie themes, and others smooth Jazzy type tunes. I hope you’ll contact me and order a copy soon, it only costs 10 Euro /13 US dollars plus shipping and handling, only the price of a few pints.
